Welcome to the Tom Mayo Gallery. Well the London Marathon has come around again and it is time to show the new work which is also on view and sold at The London Marathon Store at 63, Long Acre, in Covent Garden. As for me, the artist, I have been running internationally for about five years and all the work is taken from my own experience of life on the road and track.

As for the new paintings, I suppose more colour has arrived and hopefully I have moved on from the blue of last year! The two New London paintings took a lot of time and sweat, especially with all the detail in 'Another view of London'. One of my favourites this year is the Story of London, it is my attempt at a more contemporary style and it incorporates for me so much of what goes on in preparing for the marathon and running life in general. The new 'Stadia' painting was fun to paint and is quite dramatic given its size and colours.
